We all know we should move more. We hear it all the time. But life gets busy, and exercise often gets pushed aside. This Wellbeing Wednesday, I want to talk about moving, not as something you have to do, but as a key to feeling great and reaching your full potential.
I'm not talking about super hard workouts at the gym, spinning classes, or CrossFit. It's much simpler than that. It's about adding small movements into your everyday life.
Think about it: walking instead of driving (if you can), taking the stairs instead of the elevator, or even sweeping and vacuuming instead of letting your iRobot do all the work. These little things can make a big difference.
My Story
After being sick last month (I'm still coughing a bit), I've been focusing on getting healthy again. My recent trip to Japan really helped. I tried to walk at least 10,000 steps every day, and it felt so good!
It wasn't just about the number on my step counter. It was about connecting with my body, enjoying the feeling of moving, and realizing how good it feels to be active (again). It reminded me that being active isn't just good for your body; it's good for your mind and feelings too.
More Than Just Physical
For me, feeling well is about the whole picture. It's about eating good food, getting enough sleep, feeling calm through meditation, and, of course, moving my body. All these things work together to make me feel my best and live a great life.
Why This Matters
Being sick and not able to do much made me realize something. I'd rather spend time and energy being healthy than getting over being sick. It's a lesson I won't forget.
Important for Our Purpose
I think we all have something important to do in the world. But we can't do it if we're not taking care of ourselves. Taking care of ourselves isn't selfish; it's how we get the energy and strength to do what we're meant to do.
Easy Ways to Move More
Here are some simple ideas to add more movement to your day:
Start small: Don't try to change everything at once. Start with small, easy things and slowly add more.
Find fun activities: Moving shouldn't feel like a chore. Find things you actually enjoy, like dancing, hiking, swimming, or just walking in the park.
Find a buddy: Ask a friend or family member to join you. Having someone to move with can help you stay motivated.
Plan it: Put your movement time on your calendar, just like any other important appointment.
Listen to your body: Pay attention to how your body feels and rest when you need to.
This Wellbeing Wednesday, I challenge you to move your body in a way that makes you happy. It's not about being perfect; it's about making progress. What small thing will you do today to take care of yourself? Tell me in the comments!
Peace.✌️ Love you all.😍
